Role Description

Terawatt is looking to hire a CPA to join our growing accounting team as a Senior Accountant. The Company has grown rapidly in the past year and this role will play an integral part in our financial reporting function. The Senior Accountant role will be a key contributor to our internal and external financial packages to management and stakeholders. In addition, the right individual will be given the opportunity to lead capital assets management within the accounting team.  This role requires experience with complex accounting transactions and internal controls. Strong analytical skills are a must. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who is looking to grow and become a key contributor within a fast-paced, early-stage company. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and deliver the monthly/quarterly Financial Reporting Packages and working papers, including supporting schedules for various entities and account
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Consolidated Financial Statements
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Standalone Entity Financial Statements
  • Prepare Annual Financial Statements and Notes
  • Prepare Cash Flow proofs
  • Supporting reporting packages for federal and state grants
  • Take ownership of accounting research and documenting accounting policies
  • Ownership of Capital Asset accounting and management
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial close
  • Assist in developing and implementing internal controls 
  • Assist in Audit Binder preparation
  • Assist in Annual Audits
  • Being a flexible team player who is ready to jump on ad hoc tasks

Qualifications

  • CPA License required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 
  • Minimum of 4 years experience required
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting fundamentals
  • NetSuite, NetAsset, Routable and Procore experience would be an asset
  • Strong analytical skills are a must
  • Self-motivated individual with a desire to learn
  • EV or infrastructure experience would be an asset
